Message From the Principal (Please Read!)

Drop-off & Pick-up

Please be respectful of all drivers and students during drop-off and pick-up times.   Traffic is busiest between 7:50 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.  and 2:45 p.m. – 3:25 p.m.  We ask that you practice the following to provide a safe drop off for all students.   Refer to the attached map for designated drop off areas.

  • Pull as far forward as possible to allow other cars to enter the driveway.
  • Students should be prepared to exit the car on the curbside.
  • Check traffic before pulling away from the curb.
  • No parking or stopping on either side of the median.   This will prevent students from crossing traffic when entering the building.
  • Park in the south parking spaces if you need to enter the school.  Do not park along the curb or median.
  • Establish a meeting place on Hickory for pick-up to alleviate traffic congestion.

Chili Day is held the second Sunday in February in the Grafton High School Cafeteria and Gym. Involvement by all families through attending this event and parents offering a few hours to help at the event ensures the success of Chili Day. Here are a few ways to help out: phoning committee, baking a dessert, working at the raffle table, set up, or clean up. Volunteer requests are e-mailed in January.
