Music Fundraiser and the John Long Musical "White Christmas"

INNISBROOK GIFT WRAP - The Bands and Choirs are "wrapping-up" their annual Innisbrook gist wrap fundraiser. Please support your favorite musician by either purchasing Innisbrook items, a poinsettia plant for the holidays or by making a cash donation to the program. Thank you for your consideration for this our final fund-raiser of the year. 

THE MUSICAL IS HERE! - This year's musical - White Christmas - is November 1, 2, 3. Tickets are $6.00 and are on sale now. Tickets are available two different ways. You can call Mr. Arendt at 376-5826 and leave a message as to how many tickets you would like and for which performance - then stop in the JLMS office to pay and pick-up your tickets, or you can fill-out the attached Ticket Order Form and send it with your student to John Long with payment. Those tickets will be delivered to the student on the same day. ENJOY

John Long Parent Group Palermo's Pizza Fundraiser
The John Long Parent group is having a Palermo's Pizza Fundraiser!  Your student may begin selling 10 delicious pizzas starting Monday, 10/21/2013.  The sale ends on Friday 11/1/2013.  Please have all checks written out to "JLMS Parent Group."  Return order forms with checks and money to your advisory teacher or the front office. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Grafton High School's HAUNTED TRAIL



If you like to be scared, stop by Grafton High School on October 25 and October 26, 7:00pm-9:00pm, and walk the HAUNTED TRAIL!!  Cost is $3.00 per person.  See the attached flyer for more information.

Chess Club at JLMS


Attention all 6th 7th and 8th graders.  John Long is starting a chess club!  All levels of players welcome to join.  Class will be lead my a professional chess instructor.  Please see attached flyer for more information.


Halloween Dance Volunteers Needed!

The 7th Grade is again sponsoring the 3rd Annual Halloween Dance and Haunted Room on Wednesday, October 23rd from 7-9pm.  To make this event go smoothly, we need A LOT of volunteers that night. Some of the places we need help are:  Costume scary people in the Haunted room, concessions, dance ticket entrance, Haunted room ticket entrance, and dance/hallway monitors.  Some time slots during the day of Oct 22 and Oct 23 are included to help construct the Haunted Room also.  Please follow the link below if you can help!

Order a Yearbook!

If you have not ordered your JLMS Yearbook yet, please see the attached form.  To place an order, you can return the form with your money, or you can order online.  You may also pick up an order form in the office or in room E-6.  If you do not pre-order a yearbook, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get one in the Spring.

Our school is collecting box tops!  During the month of October, we are trying to collect as many as possible. Please have your student bring them to the office and I will mail them in by November 1st.  We will then receive a check in December.  I have attached a form for your use if that makes it easier for you to collect.

John Long's FBLA Chapter (Future Business Leaders of America) is accepting membership forms until November 1st. This is a national student business organization with over 20,000 middle school students involved across the nation.  is now accepting registrations.  This is a very popular league. Opportunities are on a limited basis and accepted until maximum capacity is reached.

3-8 Traveling Team Tryout Date: Oct. 20
