Your son/daughter received information today on course selections for next year in 8th grade.  Attached is information on two of those selections.  Business Computer Applications II is a course for all students, and very practical.  It covers topics and technology applications that all students will use throughout high school and the rest of their lives. The second attachment is information on a new course being offered to 8th graders next year called Real World 101.  This course will be taught jointly between Ms. Bohman (Art), Mrs. Mathias (Business), and Ms. Morgan (Tech. Ed.).  If your son/daughter likes solving problems, creating ideas, and would make a good entrepreneur, this course is for them.

If you have any questions on the courses, please contact any of the instructors involved.

Travel Opportunity for 8th Graders in 2015!!

Would you like your Grafton student to have the experience of a lifetime?  You can make it happen by planning ahead.  In fact, in June of 2015, that’s just a year from this coming summer, your student can have the opportunity to travel to France and Spain, experiencing the rich artistic and literary historical culture.  We will gaze out from the top of the Eifel Tower!  We will stare into the eyes of Leonardo’s Mona Lisa!  We will sip cocoa in the cafés of Stein and Hemingway! We will inhale the flowers of Monet’s garden! We will have our eyes been bombarded by lavender fields!  We will meander through the organic interior of the Gaudi Cathedral.  Art museums and classes, flight, ground transportation, hotels, most meals are all included as part of this Educational Tour.  Your students can possess all of these experiences and more, by joining Ms. Gorra-Patek and Mr. Midthun on the Grafton High School tour, “The Artists of France and Spain”, June of 2015.  Contact the Art Department for more information.  We will have a student parent meeting on Thursday, March 13 at 5:00pm, in GHS Art room D5.  Imagine your child in Europe! Please RSVP to Ms. Gorra-Patek, 376-5551 or mgorra-patek@grafton.k12.wi.us.

Send Your Coupons Our Way!

Send your coupons our way!

Students in the Transition to Work class at Grafton High School are helping the American Legion Auxiliary Rose Harms Unit 355 collect and cut coupons for military members and their families stationed overseas.

We are asking you to send in manufacturer coupons that you receive in the newspapers.  You do not need to cut the coupons out.

Coupons may be dropped off in the specially marked box in your school office from Tuesday, February 18 until Friday, June 6.

Thank you for your help with this project!
