7th Grade Enrichment Activites

Dear STEPS house parents/guardians,

The seventh grade Social Studies students are currently studying the history of Greek civilizations.  To support the learning process, the seventh grade team has put together two days of enrichment activities.  On Thursday, April 10th, lunch will be catered by Prime Minister, a Greek restaurant in Thiensville.  They have put together a delicious and diverse Greek menu for the students.  The owner will also be here to talk to the students about the foods they are eating.  To round out the day, students will be working in their city states to prepare for Friday’s Greek Olympic ceremony creating their flag, poster, and chant.

On Friday, April 11th, students will spend the day earning points for their city states.  They will carry their city state’s flag to enter in the Olympic ring, perform the chant they created, show their uniformed dress, and participate in many Olympic games in order to earn points.  The city state with the most points will be deemed the winner of the seventh grade Olympic games.

The cost for this activity is $6, which will cover the lunch on Thursday.

Please give the $6 to your Social Studies teacher by Monday, April 7th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Trottier at ptrottier@grafton.k12.wi.us

Thanks for your support!
