Dress Code Information from Mr. Kabara

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Welcome to the warm weather!  With warmer temperatures comes a change in apparel.  Please review the dress code below with your student to ensure that appropriate choices are made.  Students who are not in compliance with the dress code will be asked to correct their apparel.  Our goal is to ensure an appropriate learning environment for all students.

Thank you for your support.

Greg Kabara
Principal

Dress Code
All persons are expected to dress with neatness, cleanliness, and modesty in mind. Clothing which is disruptive, distracting, or discriminatory is not allowed. Clothing that displays drugs, tobacco, alcohol, weaponry, or contains messages that are sexual or profane in nature falls into the above category. Headgear, including hats, caps, scarves, bandanas, as well as outerwear, which includes coats, jackets, and windbreakers, etc., are not to be worn during the school day.

Examples of inappropriate dress include, but are not limited to:

  •        Pants that are worn in such a way that undergarments are visible
  •        Shirts that do not cover the midriff, back, or cleavage
  •        Sports jerseys without a shirt underneath
  •        Spaghetti-string blouses
  •        Tube tops or tops without one or both shoulders
  •        Wallet-style chains or studded/spiked bracelets

Modesty in length of shorts, skirts, or dresses is an expectation. (A good rule of thumb is the end of fingertips when arms are loosely hung by one’s side.)

Clothing deemed inappropriate will result in the student contacting parents/guardians and/or arrangements being made for covering, removing, or exchanging to more appropriate clothing.
