The First Ever JLMS BOGO Book Fair!
The 2012 JLMS Spring Book Fair will be held from Wednesday, May 2, through Friday, May 11, in the JLMS Library Media Center, and in recognition for the generous support from the community over the past few years, this Spring's Book Fair will be a "Buy One, Get One Free" Event.  This will be a perfect opportunity to stock up on summer reads!  Please contact library media specialist Lynn Slowiak with any questions (262-376-5809 or lslowiak@grafton.k12.wi.us) and see the attached flyer for a schedule of dates and times.

  • TONIGHT from 7-8:30 pm, the Aurora Medical Center (975 Port Washington Rd.) is presenting Dr. Brian Fidlan, PhD for a "Meeting the Challenges of Parenting Today" seminar on Why Kids Do What They Do.  See attached flyer.

Grafton Basketball Camps Offered

K-1 & 2-3 Grafton Summer Basketball LeagueSunday nights, May-July.
This will be held at John Long Middle School from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. The cost is $25.00 which will include a team t-shirt.  For more information, see the attached link:

Black Hawk Football Wants You!
On Tuesday, May 1st there will be a sign up meeting at John Long (during the lunch hour) for current 8th grade boys interested in Freshman Football.  There will also be a parent and player sign up meeting on Sunday, May 6th at 6:00 pm in the GHS cafeteria.  For more information, please see the attached link:

This upcoming session will focus on adolescent behavior and brain development, including helping parents understand why kids do some of the things we do.

Grafton Gladiators 6th - 8th Grade Football Sign-ups

The Grafton Gladiators are a full-contact tackle football program and
play against other area teams of similar size, weight and age. The goal of the program is to introduce as many young athletes to the sport of football as possible and to have a positive experience while doing so.

Registration for the 2012 season will be held at Circle B Recreation at 7:00 pm on Sunday, April 29th and at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 3rd. Please arrive at the session of your choice by 7:00 pm for a brief presentation.

Grafton School District Summer Learning Classes
For the sixth consecutive year the Grafton School District will provide a variety of learning opportunities for ALL children during the summer. The desire of the School District is to provide children with learning opportunities year round, so they may value learning as a life-long endeavor.  The registration forms for the Grafton Summer Learning Program should be mailed back as soon as possible. First priority registration will begin on March 26. Registrations will be accepted until May 18 or until classes are filled. We are all looking forward to a summer of learning!

Grafton Education Foundation Newsletter
 Read the initial Grafton Education Foundation Newsletter.
The mission of the GEF reads, “The Grafton Education Foundation, in partnership with the community, will seek private funding to support and encourage innovative, enriching educational opportunities for students in the School District of Grafton.” Since 2010, the GEF has worked to fulfill its mission and was able to award nearly $12,000 in grants in 2011.
