Order your Tickets for "Annie Get Your Gun"

MUSICAL -Tickets are now on sale for this year's musical "Annie Get Your Gun".This wild west story tells the tale of legendary sharpshooter Annie Oakley (Erin Hogan) and her rise to fame in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show with her new-found love interest Frank Butler (Nate O'Neal). Come and enjoy the show with your friends and family. Ticket information is enclosed on the attached ticket order form.

Attention 6th Grade Parents - Bake Sale
Attention 6th Grade Parent!!

Please help the JLMS Parent Group offset the costs of our 6th grade field trips by contributing your time and baked goods.  Drop off baked goods on Monday, November 19 in the school office.  We are also in need of helpers to sell baked items.  See attached flyer.

Washington DC/Gettysburg School Trip in 2013

We are pleased to announce an exciting trip coming up in June of 2013 for interested 7th and 8th grade students.  We will be exploring Washington DC and Gettysburg (see attached letter sample itinerary) 
on an educational tour.

Annie Get Your Gun - Props/Costume Pieces Needed

We need some help for “Annie Get Your Gun” with props and costume pieces!!!   We could use the following:

  • Cowboy hats
  • Cowboy boots
  • Belt buckles
  • Unopened make-up – eye shadow, lipstick, or blush
  • NativeAmerican props – bracelets, moccasins-leather items

If you have any items that could be used in the show, label them with your name if possible and drop them off with Mr. Arendt or Mrs.McCann.  Please call or email if you have any questions-  Thanks!!!

John Long FBLA Updates

Congratulations to Vishnu Katkoori, winner of the cover contest for the Student Phone Directory, sponsored by FBLA.  His winning design was chosen from 10 different submissions. Thanks to all the students who contributed their work for the cover.  The completed phone directory will be distributed to all John Long families shortly.

Also, any FBLA member wishing to participate in competitive events this year must have their dues paid by next Thursday, November 1 in order to be eligible.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs.Mathias.  The membership form is attached for your convenience.

Finally, the October FBLA meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 23, right after school in A16.  We will be discussing our upcoming Community Service project, Phone Directory distribution, and initial information on Competitive Events.  If a student cannot make the meeting, please see Mrs. Mathias for details.
